Little Tom

OVERVIEW

A cocktail brand born from the passion and meticulous creativity of Tom, a spirited mixologist with a passion for crafting exceptional drinks. Tom’s precise and methodical approach comprises of mixing and recording ingredients in endless combinations varying in closely monitored increments, much like a scientist conducting experiments in a laboratory. This approach of experimentation and refinement is what influenced the visual identity for Little Tom.

BRIEF

Little Tom are looking to launch their first cocktail brand and bring their passion for mixology to life. These "shake-your-own" cocktails come in glass bottles, complete with side garnishes, and are inspired by the creative flair and meticulous attention to detail of Tom's signature creations.

We want the branding to balance creativity with simplicity, and reflect the essence and process of Tom’s passion and workflow.

EXECUTION

The brand draws inspiration
from design in the science and medical space, to portray a clean and modern style and signifying refined iteration.

The client wanted to reflect the attention to detail and experimentation that goes into creating the perfect blend of ingredients in every drink – in a similar approach to the scientific method. I wanted to play on this similarity in the style of the visual identity choosing a modern and minimal illustration style, clean layouts, a select but punchy use of colour and type that feels modern and precise.

I wanted to create a sense of refinement and acute attention to detail by using clean lines, distinctive colours and an equally refined typeface.
